As someone who lives in Ottawa and who does not like to drive more than an hour to get to a ski hill, I have several options to choose from. Among the sites closest to me, Edelweiss is a great choice, as their runs are longer and a bit more challenging than many other hills. My family came here on December 26 and we had a lot of fun, as the conditions were ideal for skiing. I would happily come here again.
Great snow conditions always... I am amazed every week I go how good the conditions are on the hill. It is definitely worth the few extra minutes to get there, and the small quick lift lines! Fun helpful staff! Solid snow park! Lines are short too!
This place is awesome. Easily the best hill in the region. They have the only high-speed quad which gets you up the hill way faster than anywhere else. This alone makes it the best place for lapping and staying moving. Their terrain park is hands down the best (especially this year! Thanks Les Sommet) as they’ve borrowed some resources from mother resort Sauveur. (Dope rope tow there now too - like what? That’s amazing! First in the region) Terrain otherwise is a perfect mix of green to blue to black difficulty for carvers. Nice progression and you get more comfortable on steeper pitches. They’ve also recently upgraded the learning area so it’s away from the rest of the runs (safe for everyone!) and is awesome with the bubble conveyer belt. Seems the racing program is going strong too! I don’t know much about it, but they’re often out with full coaching staff and look strong to me. It’s also cheap - some seasons passes are ~200$. That’s insane in these times. You can also do combo passes with Sauveur. Like, it’s busy on weekends? Yeah, so is literally any activity. Can it get a bit icy sometimes, yeah, ice coast? They can’t control everything. I don’t really care about the lodge (I’m on the high speed lift), but they’ve upgraded and moved some stuff around this year - looks good to me! Happy to have a great resort like this in the area!
Went during the Family Day Holiday 2024, it was our first time there and we loved it!! It was only 30 minutes away from Ottawa. Not crowded at all even during the peak times. No long lineups and so the kids had many a great time skiing and snowboarding down the mountain. The prices were reasonable too—a choice between all-day and 4-hour lift passes. The chalet has a restaurant and bar which you can order hot food and cold drinks. We would definitey be back for the years to come. Already planning for the next season!!
Love this ski hill. Best one in the area. There's a fast chair lift. Good snow today and making more snow. Staff are friendly and helpful. Chalet is clean and meals very affordable. There is a tubing area which we went to last year but not open just yet this season. Lots of fun!
My son learned how to snow board here & was naturally skilled & enthusiasts since we are I had my ski pass for years & couldn't ask for better I think I love it here more then tremblant yaya its epic yet way way way touristy here in edelweiss we relax solo with family or when invitations suddenly possible a place to workout & ski hike rest no wait fast lift brace yourself aga It accommodates me & my dog fully No pet on hill while we ski
I had a wonderful experience at this ski resort! Staff were very friendly and I love their French accent! When I reached the top of the hill after my lift I was amazed by the beautiful view. This place reminds me how amazing and beautiful this country is! Definitely will recommend to any snowboarder to come to this place.
